- Understands basic rules (scoring, changing ends)?
- Enjoys competitive play formats?
- Can handle winning and losing?
Our student tournament is designed as a safe first experience.
Preparation: the day before
- Light training or complete rest — no heavy session
- Check equipment: racket, extra grip, balls, water, snack
- Review match time and plan travel (arrive early)
- Mental: choose a focus point ("I'll work on my serve")
During the tournament
- Warm-up: at least 15 minutes
- Nutrition: light meal 2 hours before, water and banana between matches
- Between matches: rest, eat, mentally reset
- Coaching: at 359.tennis we offer tournament coaching with warm-up, analysis and debrief
After: evaluation
- What went well? What moments were you proud of?
- What was difficult? Where did you struggle?
- What do we take into training?
This fits within our Progress System — we measure growth, not just results.
